Send Enowork app log files

Eno Eno

If you encounter a unique error with Eno app that our support team cannot solve, Eno's developers will need to analyze the log files from the app to better understand the issue. The following steps will allow you to send Eno your log files to expedite this process.

Please note: before sending your log files, please do your best to read through the support articles on support.enophone.com to see if this can solve your issue. In particular:

Reaching out to hello@enophone.com can also lead to a faster response than simply sending your logs.

MacOS

  1. Navigate to your computer's home directory in Finder

The easiest way to do so is the following:

  • Open Finder
  • Press CMD + Shift + G to open a navigation prompt
  • Type '~/' into the text box
  • Press enter
  1. Show hidden folders in Finder

Press CMD + Shift + '.' to show hidden folders.

For clarity: press Command + Shift + Period at the same time on the keyboard.

  1. Open the .enowork folder

If you prefer, you can send Eno the entire .enowork folder:

  • Right click the folder and choose "Compress .enowork"
  • Send the compressed .enwork file to support@enophone.com

The .enowork folder may grow quite large if you use the app for long periods. If this is the case, please proceed to step 4 instead.

  1. Email the following documents to support@enophone.com

Please email Eno the following documents in the .enowork folder to support@enophone.com:

  • log.log, log.log.1, log.log.2, and any other versions of this file
  • errors.log
  • client.log
  • RenderedFrontend.log
  • backend.err
  • backend.out

Please include in your email any additional details that can help diagnose the issue you are facing, including the specifications of the device you are running, the operating system version, the Enowork app version, and the circumstances of the issue. Please note as well whether the issue is repeatable (happens every time) or inconsistent (happens only periodically).

Windows

  1. Show hidden folders in File Explorer

On Windows 10:

  • Open File Explorer from the taskbar.

  • Select View > Options > Change folder and search options.

  • Select the View tab and, in Advanced settings, select Show hidden files, folders, and drives and OK

On Windows 11:

  • Open File Explorer from the taskbar.
  • Select View > Show > Hidden items.

View this Windows support article for more details.

  1. Navigate to the .enowork folder in File Explorer

The folder containing the logs is located at the following directory, where _USERNAME_ is replaced by the name of your windows user:

C:/Users/_USERNAME_/.enowork

The easiest way to navigate here is to type "C:/Users/" into the navigation bar at the top of File Explorer, and then open the folder corresponding to your windows username.

If you do not see the .enowork folder in the list, it may be because you opened the wrong username folder, or because show hidden folders is not enabled.

  1. Open the .enowork folder

If you prefer, you can send Eno the entire .enowork folder:

  • Right click the .enowork folder, hover over "Send to", and select "Compress (zipped) folder"
  • Send the zipped .enowork file to support@enophone.com
