Eno Eno

If you are struggling to maintain a green status indicator while wearing Enophone, your first step should be to consult our status indicator troubleshooting article, and our guide on how to wear Enophone

If the problem is unresolved following these steps, we will need you to record and send us a sample of your Enophone data, so our developers can investigate the issue further. Please follow the steps below to record and send us a data sample.

Data collection

In order to analyze why the status indicator is not responding, we will need you to record two 5-minute sessions: one while wearing Enophone, and the other with Enophone at rest on your desk. Eno's developers will be able to analyze the data from these two sessions to adapt the status indicators algorithms to your environment.

Please follow the steps below closely to record the two sessions:

  1. Download the latest version of the Eno app from Enophone.com/getstarted

Our team is frequently improving the status indicator algorithm, so it's important to download the latest version of the Eno app before recording your sessions.

  1. Open the Eno app, and ensure your Enophones are connected and streaming

The status indicator should be red, orange, or green prior to recording.

If the status indicator is grey or black, this means that Enophone is not correctly streaming to the app. In this case, please consult our status indicator troubleshooting article.

  1. Place your Enophones on your head, and start your first session

Ensure that the side sensors make direct contact with your skin, unobstructed by any hair. If you are unsure how to wear Enophone properly, consult this guide

Start a session by pressing the "start a session" button on the Eno app's dashboard.

  1. Copy ds_test_2022_01_on into "What are you currently working on?"

This step will label your session, so that it's easier for our team to search for your data file.

Please press enter after entering the main task, to ensure the title is recorded.

  1. Remain seated for 5 minutes while the session is recorded

While the session is ongoing you can work at your computer as you would during a typical session.

Please refrain from standing up, and minimize any major head movements, as this will impact the recording.

You can set a 5-minute timer on the session page by clicking the timer at the end of the session progress bar, next to the End Session button.

  1. When the first session ends, remove your Enophones and start a second 5-minute session

Place your Enophones on your desk, as they normally would be when you aren't using them. Leave the Enophones still for the full 5-minute session.

You can set a 5-minute timer on the session page by clicking the timer at the end of the session progress bar, next to the End Session button.

  1. Copy ds_test_2022_02_off into "What are you currently working on?"

This step will label your session, so that it's easier for our team to search for your data file.

Please press enter after entering the main task, to ensure the title is recorded.
