Audio crackling, skipping or beeping issues

 

If you are experiencing audio issues where the sounds streaming to your Enophone crackles, skips or scratches, follow these troubleshooting guidelines to resolve the issue.

First Steps

 

Many of the known audio issues have been resolved in the newest Eno App updates. Start this troubleshooting process by updating your software.

  1. Update your Eno App to the newest version here.
  2. Make sure your computer’s operating system is updated to its latest version.

 

Multiple paired devices can trigger audio streaming issues

 

Having several devices connected to your Enophone can exceed your devices Bluetooth bandwidth, resulting in audio crackling. If you experience these issues, try unpairing from all devices, and re-pairing Enophone to only one device at a time to see if this resolves the problem. The following steps will ensure that your Enophones are properly paired to the device from which you wish to stream audio.

 

  1. Hold the centre button [ o ] for 2 seconds until you hear “Power On”.
  2. Keep your Enophone in standby mode by disconnecting your Enophone from all devices by pressing and holding the – and + buttons on your Enophone for 3 seconds until you hear “Bluetooth device list cleared”. Now your Enophone is in pairing mode and the Bluetooth LED light will flash blue and white. If this does not work, please consult this article.
  3. Next, ensure that you and your Enophone are close to your computer while still on pairing mode.
  4. Navigate to Bluetooth settings on your device. After a few moments, you will see the device “enophone” appear. Press “connect” and you will be paired to your Enophone.

 

Poor Bluetooth connection causing poor audio streaming

 

To resolve your audio issues that result from an unstable Bluetooth connection, you can also troubleshoot your Bluetooth connection with the following troubleshooting fixes. Please also consult this article for further Bluetooth troubleshooting support.

 

  1. Ensure that your Enophone is fully charged so that when plugged in, a green indicator light appears.
  2. Ensure that your device’s Bluetooth is turned on.
  3. Fully restart your Enophone by plugging in the USB cable for 5 seconds.
  4. Fully restart your phone or computer before attempting a new Bluetooth connection.
  5. Ensure that no USB or AUX cables are plugged into your Enophone before connecting to Bluetooth. When cables are connected, Enophone will automatically disable Bluetooth functionality.
  6. Make sure you are at a close proximity to your computer or audio streaming device.
